Happy New Year from Chicken Lips

Out with the old...in with the new! It's time to get my workshop in order after a very busy Fall season. Seriously, all over the floor there was fabric and clay and wire and wood and sawdust..and heaven knows what else! I took a couple photos of my newly cleaned workshop and studio and am posting them here so there is public record that it is possible for me to have a clean workspace! Now, if I could just keep it that way!

I've started making a couple Valentine's creations for the upcoming Holiday Hootenanny on SpookyTime Jingles - Jan. 13th. Crazy thing is, now that everything is clean, I'm having a tough time working. Seems I've made everything TOO neat and tidy and now I'm afraid to make a mess!

I wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

May all your workshops stay clean and tidy!

Wouldn't that be nice to have a clean studio?! I'm afraid the art explosions can't be prevented, so I don't see it happening. Maybe a picture of it clean will remind you that it can happen again - LOL. I'd rather see your Valentine's creations than a neat studio anyway - hee hee.

Hey David, the Wii is amazing isn't it!? I would suggest Mario Galaxy, it's loads of fun. Wii sports is good too. Those three and Call of Duty are all I've played, and they are all great so far. Let me know how Raving Rabbits turns out!

I am totally loving that long (clean) workspace you've got there with all that great natural light.

I try to only clean enough space on my table to work and I'm talking a 2'x3' space here. I really should try your method, hehe.

Hi -- Thanks for your encouragement. I looked at your profile and we like all the same things. We should email (if you have time). Have a great week.

oh, and by the way, your website is cool. I like the popping up chicken. Does everyone tell you that your work reminds them of Wallace and Gromit? (That's a compliment).

LOL! I know what you mean when you wrote that it's hard to work after cleaning up. I also have a problem finding things after I put them all away in drawers. What to do? Happy creating! Look forward to your Valentine pieces.

Hi David, it was FUN to see your workspace(s) before & after!

I'm a neat freak and can't work when things are messy around me...I'm sure I'm an exception to the artist norm.

Funny how each artist is different.

Thanks for the vote of confidence on my new pieces. I have a much darker side than people normally would think & or know! Hehe '-)

Have a great 2009!!! :-)

So David, how about you take a trip to Idaho to organize my workspace! Your room looks so wonderful. I wish I could throw out everything old but then I couldn't make anything. LOL Looking forward to seeing your creations in the New Year.

hehehehe Clean work space? What's that? I usually have fabric flying through the air too. What a lovely space you have. I feel like I am in an 8 x 8 hole! Love the windows!! Happy New Year to you David!
